2012-09-17fs/jfs: TRIM support for JFS FilesystemTino Reichardt1-0/+1
This patch adds support for the two linux interfaces of the discard/TRIM command for SSD devices and sparse/thinly-provisioned LUNs. JFS will support batched discard via FITRIM ioctl and online discard with the discard mount option. 2011-06-20jfs: agstart field must be 64 bitsDave Kleikamp1-1/+1
The previous patch added the agstart field to jfs_ip, but declared it a long. We need to make sure its 64 bits on every platform. Signed-off-by: Dave Kleikamp <dave.kleikamp@oracle.com>
2011-06-20JFS: Don't save agno in the inodeDave Kleikamp1-1/+2
Resizing the file system can result in an in-memory inode being remapped to a different aggregate group (AG). A cached AG number can cause problems when trying to free or allocate inodes. Instead, save the IAG's agstart address and calculate the agno when we need it. Signed-off-by: Dave Kleikamp <dave.kleikamp@oracle.com>

Removed trailing spaces & tabs, and spaces preceding tabs. Also a couple very minor comment cleanups. Signed-off-by: Dave Kleikamp <shaggy@austin.ibm.com> (cherry picked from f74156539964d7b3d5164fdf8848e6a682f75b97 commit)
2006-03-09JFS: add uid, gid, and umask mount optionsDave Kleikamp1-0/+5
OS/2 doesn't initialize the uid, gid, or unix-style permission bits. The uid, gid, & umask mount options perform pretty much like those for the fat file system, overriding what is stored on disk. This is useful for users sharing the file system with OS/2. I implemented a little feature so that if you mask the execute bit, it will be re-enabled on directories when the appropriate read bit is unmasked. I didn't want to implement an fmask & dmask option. 2006-01-24JFS: semaphore to mutex conversion.Ingo Molnar1-2/+3
the conversion was generated via scripts, and the result was validated automatically via a script as well. build and boot tested. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Signed-off-by: Dave Kleikamp <shaggy@austin.ibm.com>
2006-01-09[PATCH] mutex subsystem, semaphore to mutex: VFS, ->i_semJes Sorensen1-2/+2
This patch converts the inode semaphore to a mutex. I have tested it on XFS and compiled as much as one can consider on an ia64. Anyway your luck with it might be different. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
